Carolyn Ramos joined Bouchon Bakery Beverly Hills as Bakery Manager with a very special advantage. Having put in years of work in the pastry kitchens of Joël Robuchon, François Payard, and el Bulli, Ramos’ product knowledge and understanding of technique is extremely beneficial to enhancing the guest experience in the Bakery.
Before arriving at Bouchon Bakery, Ramos was immersed in classical French training at Pierre Hermé in Paris, as well as a more contemporary skill set at The Fat Duck – which she was able to translate into the pastry program at L2O alongside Chef Laurent Gras, and most recently at the patisserie of Bottega Louie in Los Angeles with husband and partner Chef Alen Ramos.
Most recently, Carolyn had the honor of being chosen as one of five other female pastry chefs worldwide to showcase her skill at Gourmet Abu Dhabi – a groundbreaking gastronomic event in the UAE.
Before donning chef’s whites, Ramos was awarded La Diplôme Français from l’Université de Paris-La Sorbonne, a Bachelor of Arts in French from Randolph-Macon College in her home state of Virginia and an Associate’s Degree from The Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago.
